The surgeon has a 3-D view of the operating site, which is far superior to what the human eye can provide on its own. The robot contains a console with a camera in the operating room, allowing the surgeon to control all of the instruments of the robot. The fingers of the surgeon are placed on the master controls providing total control of the da Vinci’s four arms, while looking into the high-definition, stereoscopic monitor. This places your surgeon inside the patient and provides far greater precision.
Each movement the surgeon makes utilizing the master controls are precisely replicated by the Da Vinci robot. There is minimal surgeon fatigue because the surgeon’s eyes and hands are always perfectly aligned with their view of the surgical site.
